Series HI/HIB

The HI series screw-to-connect couplings with poppet valve from STAUFF are specially designed for high-pressure applications where safe coupling is required even under residual pressure. They consist of a coupling sleeve with a screw sleeve and a coupling plug with an external thread and enable hydraulic lines to be reliably connected and disconnected without tools. The HI series is standardised in accordance with ISO 14540 and is particularly suitable for use in hydraulic cylinders, hand pumps and hydraulic tools.

The precise design minimises play in the internal components after coupling, effectively preventing material fatigue. In addition, the risk of "brinelling" - permanent indentations on the surface of the plug - is eliminated, which often occurs in extreme applications with conventional plug-in couplings.

The HI series is available in two compact nominal sizes and is designed for operating pressures of up to 720 bar. The coupling can also be safely connected and disconnected under residual pressure.

Available options:

• Nominal sizes: 6.3 and 10 (1/4" to 3/8")

• Interchangeability according to ISO 14540

• Connection possible under residual pressure up to 100 bar

• Nominal flow rate up to a maximum of 34.5 l/min (depending on size)

• A variant with a ball valve is also available for special requirements - the HIB series
